Cedar Point reveals plans for busy 2021 season after anniversary celebration thwarted by COVID-19

That’s the word from Cedar Point, which on Thursday announced plans for its 2021 season in which the amusement park plans to celebrate its 150th anniversary after special events planned for 2020 have been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The anniversary celebration is set in the height of summer while a nighttime parade and party, a new family adventure on the river and the chances of winning the unprecedented ticket of a lifetime will also return.

Here’s a quick rundown of what visitors can expect at Cedar Point in 2021.
Frontier Festival, which celebrates hope, health and harvest, kicks off the season on opening day, Friday, May 14. Frontier Town will transform into a Wild West hootenanny, bursting with live music, interactive games for adults and children, party decor, artists’ street and a menu of mouthwatering food and drink.
Over 20 cherry-inspired food tastings will be available, and adults can quench their thirst by sampling over 100 craft breweries, seltzers, ciders and custom cocktails around Frontier Town.
Frontier Festival takes place on weekends from May 14-16 and May 21-23, then daily from May 28 to June 13.
Snake River Expedition
The Snake River Expedition will take guests of all ages on an action-packed Snake River adventure where they will meet animatronics, surprises and live acting skills that will include guests in the driving experience, which will change each time.
The Snake River Expedition is slated to open on May 29 and will run through Labor Day, September 6.
150th anniversary celebration
Midsummer to Feature a Continuation of Cedar Point’s 150th anniversary celebration.
